There's a great place in NYC (around 25th and 6th ave) called Rikshaw dumpling bar. Not as cheap but amazingly good and super-duper fast. highly recommend it.

but how was the spaetzle?

Robbie and Lauren were both exchange students in Berlin 4 years ago. Lauren stayed on the outskirts with a wealthy family while Robbie stayed in the city with a single muslim/german mom and her 3 children. She was a gracious host with little money. Robbie had the best time. They both remember the area downtown with a Sony theatre that was modern and crowded with people.
