More talented, that's funny. One of your players is more talented, sure. The rest are a sad lot. Also, "talent" encompasses both sides of the basketball.

You're only "talented" if you can play defense as well as offense. Steve Nash is remarkable offensively. But, you've got to play both sides of the ball. Like it or not, the Spurs are a great team that has been tested and prevailed. Who will take the series, I don't know. Both teams have a great shot. Don't knock the Spurs just to knock them, just because they happen to playing the Suns and giving them a run for their money. Grow up and appreciate great basketball no matter who the team may be. As a Spurs fan, I appreciate the Suns game. Relax and enjoy. It is only a game!

I'm tired of trying to be grown up about this.

Eat one, Brian. I would use harsher language, but my in-laws read this.

And by the way, "both sides of the basketball" makes no damn sense. You're clearly as stupid as the evil robots who play for San Antonio.

I am a Spurs fan. A San Antonio guy to my core. And I like to argue as much as the next person. A large part of sports is not only being passionate about your team, but also being passionately against another team (I distinctly remember being told as a child that "the Lakers represent everything that is wrong in the world."

Having said all that, I didn't choose to give the Suns my respect - they EARNED it. They are a gritty, leave-it-all-on-the-floor team (regardless of what Nash said, I think a lot of tanks were running on empty).

Ok, I have to chime back in to give props to Chris, who is definitely neither stupid nor a robot.

And he understands the true nature of the Lakers!

I'm so tired of the Spurs - there is no way I will be intrigued enough to watch them play in the finals, if they make it, which I hope they do not. Boo, Spurs! They take the joy out of watching the game. Go, Phoenix - you will be America's team if you beat the droning bores otherwise known as the Spurs. Either way, though, the NBA scored another black eye for how they handled this one. Oh, and I hope the Spurs are shaking in their boots since they very nearly lost even when the Suns didn't have Amare. How are they going to win when he's back?

If the suns are so bad defensively then how is it they kept the Spurs to 13 points in the first quarter of last nights game? And in case you didn't know, that's the spurs lowest first quarter point total of the season, yes season. I'm so tired of hearing people march the "suns have no D" trope. It's not true. Take a look at the facts!

Spurs fan here.

The first half of game 5 was a gift to Phoenix for losing Amare.

Too bad D'Antoni lost the game for the Suns.

Nash is a master at drawing offensive fouls in the paint. That's an invaluable defensive skill.

Game 6, Amare Stoudemire returns, laces up his boots, goes for 30 and 15, pushes the Suns to the heights they couldn't reach in game 5. Game 7 back in Phoenix, here we come.......

I cant even begin to describe how much i hate the spurs. You are a "great defensive team" because you get away with swiping at the ball every time someone drives down the lane, and because the refs allow you to body up defenders and disreguard all handcheck rules. (I coach basketball, and generally these are reguarded as lazy defensive tactics because a player isnt moving their feet on defense.) These two teams are very evenly matched. I am just sick and tired of the smug attitude that comes from the spurs players and their fans. Game 5 was a gift. You better come prepared for game 6 because its going to be a war.

Dont be bitter pheonix fans. San antonio is just a better team and they have proved year after year. The suns are totally responsible for the drama fest surrounding this series. If your guys would just buck up and play ball instead of complaining about dirty (great) defense all the time you might have had a chance.
